Dear Friends of Drexel University and Drexel University College of Medicine,

The English essayist, poet and politician Joseph Addison (1672–1719) once wrote, “What sculpture is to a block of marble, education is to the soul.” Thank you for providing the building blocks of a Drexel education for thousands of students through your philanthropy. Your generosity propels the momentum of change and growth at Drexel University and Drexel University College of Medicine. We continue to break ground, both figuratively and literally, with enhanced curricula and programs, as well as exciting renovations and new construction. As a dynamic institution, Drexel has a global impact that starts with each student and extends far beyond the boundaries of our campus.

In these pages you’ll read about benefactors who, like you, have turned their vision into rewarding opportunities for Drexel’s students and our communities. Our benefactors range from families to foundations, with causes that run the gamut from research programs for the underserved to professorships that honor our best and the brightest minds. We are all grateful for the limitless opportunities that you have opened for Drexel students to realize their dreams. The students of today will be the leaders of tomorrow. They will shape the future and pave the way for succeeding generations eager to make their own mark on the world. Just look at what you’ve started!
